For Windows users who experience problems while installing or using software that uses InstallShield.

The InstallShield Update (vendor: InstallShield) performs an InstallShield update and addresses errors that occur when installing Studio MX, Sigmaplot, SciFinder and other products. Error messages may include:

• "An error occurred while launching setup. Invalid access to memory location."
• "Error while parsing command line arguments or reading setup.ini: No such interface supported."
• "Module could not be found or loaded."
• "An error occurred while launching the setup. Class not registered."

IMPORTANT: All of these steps must be followed to rectify any InstallShield errors.

1. Delete the InstallShield folder in the C:\Program Files\Common Files.
2. Restart your computer.
3. Download and run the InstallShield Update Utility using the link below.
4. Reinstall your original software.
