Licensed for use by Brown faculty, staff and students.

KeyAccess must be installed and connected to the Brown campus KeyServer to install or run EndNote.

EndNote (vendor: ISI Researchsoft) software is used to create bibliographic references.

EndNote may be used only by Brown University students, faculty, and staff, and may not be used for commercial purposes. A connection to the Brown campus network is required.

By downloading this software you agree to these limitations.

Notes: To use EndNote with Office XP, be sure to apply the latest Office XP update prior to installing EndNote.
KeyAccess must be running to install and use EndNote.

To download and install Endnote:

1. Download the EndNote installer using the link at the end of this section.
2. Once the installer is downloaded, navigate to the download location on your computer and double-click on "install_endnote7.exe." Click Extract.
3. You will receive a message requesting you to restart your computer. Click OK.
4. At the welcome screen, click Next.
5. You may choose to enter your name in the "Your Name" field. Otherwise, leave the contents of the registration fields as is and click Next.
6. View the license agreement and click Accept.
7. Full installation will be selected. Click Next.
8. Select the destination directory and click Next.
9. You will be notified that you are ready to install EndNote. Click Next.
10. When the installation is complete you will be notified. Uncheck the checkbox requesting you to register online and click Finish.
11. You must restart your computer to complete the installation.

Problem: The EndNote toolbar or commands do not appear in Microsoft Word 2000/XP/2003.
