This page contains links to Brown University licensed software and sources
for commonly used applications. By selecting the product title, you
will be linked to instructions on how to obtain the software.
All Brown University licensed software products will require that you
authenticate with your Brown username and password prior to permitting access to the
software.
Clicking on a tab containing computing platform (Macintosh, Windows, UNIX) will load the software selections for the clicked platform.
Clicking on a column heading will sort the table based on the clicked column.
Table Headings
Product - the name of the product. Clicking on a product name within the table will bring you to a page providing instructions on how to obtain and install the product.
Released - this is the date the product was released or last updated by CIS.
Description - brief description of the product. The name of the product's author/vendor follows the description in small print.
Restrictions - a summary of user and usage restrictions on the product.
Products that are restricted to "on campus/VPN" require you to be connected either on campus or through Brown's VPN.
Items labeled (EES) are restricted to Brown University paid Faculty and Staff.
Type - a best fit categorization of the function of the product.
