Symantec AntiVirus Software

Symantec AntiVirus (formerly Norton AntiVirus) may be used by Brown University faculty, staff and currently registered students. All Brown University faculty and staff members and registered students may install Symantec AntiVirus on their own computers.

All users must remove the Brown University-distributed version of Symantec AntiVirus from their computers when they leave the University. Similarly, when Brown University gives up ownership of a computer, Symantec AntiVirus must be removed.

Symantec AntiVirus is installed in the clusters for those who wish to scan their portable media.
