Stata Software

Stata is a statistical analysis package for managing, analyzing and graphing data. Stata may be used only by Brown University faculty, staff and students. The downloadable version of Stata is available for use either on campus or through Brown's VPN at http://software.brown.edu/. To use this version of Stata, users must be connected to the Brown campus KeyServer.

Brown faculty, staff and students who wish to use Stata independent of Brown's network may purchase an individual copy at reduced rates through Stata's GradPlan pricing program. These prices represent a substantial discount off the already-discounted academic price of Stata. The software offered through the Stata GradPlan is a full-featured version with no limitations.
