KeyServer

Brown University has licensed several software products which have access restrictions, either by number of users or by site location. Brown University licenses KeyServer software from Sassafras Software Inc. , which allows Brown to monitor software usage. Summary Reports on usage of KeyServed products provide supporting data to purchase additional software licenses or upgrades.

KeyServed software is indicated with a "key" symbol next to the software title on Brown's software distribution page.

To access any software available on KeyServer, users must be connected to Brown University's campus keyserver (campuskeyserver.brown.edu) and have KeyAccess installed on their computer. KeyAccess is the KeyServer client software that allows users to access software controlled by the KeyServer.
